Requirements/Guidelines for obtaining Visa for Tanzania

Two (2) recent passport photos to be attached to the application form (signature not required at back of photos)
A copy of your Travel Itinerary (one copy will suffice if more than one person travelling together)
Visa Fee is A$95 for 30, 60 or 90 days travel, payable by Money Order, Bank Cheque or Cash (you can pay by one Money Order or Bank Cheque for all travellers in a group). We do not accept payment by Credit Cards.
How to Lodge your Visa Application
Our office timings are: Mon - Fri 10am - 3pm. You can personally lodge visa applications during this time at the Consulate.
You can send applications and documents by Express Post, Registered Post or Courier along with a return, self-addressed Registered Post, Express Post envelope to our office address given below. We will mail the documents back to you.
It takes 4-5 working days to process the application.
One can enter Tanzania within 90 days from the date of the issued visa, provided passport remains valid.
We do not issue multiple-entry visas. However, those who travel to country members of the East Africa Community (Kenya or Uganda), will not require a new visa to re-enter Tanzania as long as the visa is still valid. Those who travel to countries other than Kenya and Uganda, will require a new visa at the Entry Point to Tanzania.
Vaccinations are not required.

Single Entry Tourist Visa: A$95 for 30, 60 or 90-day validity
Single Entry Visas for Business Purposes: A$95 for 60 day validity
Visitors Pass for carrying on Temporary Assignments: US$100 (paid at the Entry Point on arrival in Tanzania)
Please Note
- The Tanzanian Consulate in Sydney is temporarily closed pending the appointment of a new Honorary Consul
- Travellers are advised not to send passports or visa applications to the old Sydney office address, nor use the old Visa Application Forms bearing the old Sydney Consulate address
- Should the issued visa expire before being used, applicants are required to apply for a new visa by fulfilling all previous conditions without exception
- Travellers are advised to obtain a visa prior to departure to avoid delays and inconvenience on arrival in Tanzania

For all other nationals (including Australian passport holders) a single entry visa costs AU$95.00.
